Owner Modifications

The Cumberland Camper is a great platform for both wilderness and campsite camping. It is tent camping in comfort.

Through the design process we considered a number of features that have not been incorporated - usually because we did not see them as adding sufficient value or functionality relative the the added cost.

Some owners may want to use their DIY skills to add a feature or improvement that requires a modification to the camper. We like the idea. But we advise our owners to contact us to discuss modifications. We will provide no cost support and advice to help the modification succeed. If the modification requires a custom made part, we may be able to help with that.

Owner modification may affect the warranty, but not necessarily. We will provide warranty advise and explanations about modifications on request.

The Cumberland design has been granted a number of patents. We will also advise when a modification interferes with a patent, though we expect that to be unusual.
